We were spending more and more time in Idaho, dreaming of eventually making the mountains our home. And when I think mountains, I think cozy. So naturally, I decided to make a quilt.

I had a LOT to learn. Thankfully, there was YouTube. One rabbit hole led to another, and I discovered techniques and possibilities I never imagined.

Eventually, I stumbled onto fabric collage. My first attempts were pretty awful! But then came Abilene the cow, and something clicked.

These days, there’s always something on my design wall, something on the cutting table, something under the needle at my sewing machine… and ALWAYS another idea waiting to come to life.

Funny how one little quilt can lead to all this.
